The short version: Be a good human. Use Bethany to stay connected with people, not to spam or harass them. If you abuse the service, we'll shut you down.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Bethany ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bethany is an SMS-based relationship management assistant that helps you stay connected with people you care about. The Service sends you reminders and suggested messages to help you maintain your relationships.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bethany. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Your Account

  • You're responsible for keeping your PIN secure
  • One account per person, please
  • Provide accurate information when signing up
  • Let us know if you think someone else is using your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bethany only for its intended purpose: staying connected with people you actually know and care about. Don't use it to:

  • Spam or harass anyone
  • Send commercial or marketing messages
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Impersonate someone else
  • Abuse, threaten, or harm others
  • Try to break or circumvent the Service

6. SMS Messaging

By signing up, you consent to receive SMS messages from Bethany. Message and data rates may apply. You can text STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for assistance.

7. Subscription and Billing

  • The free plan includes up to 15 contacts
  • Premium plans are billed monthly or annually
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

8. Intellectual Property

Bethany and its content are owned by Untitled Publishers. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our stuff without permission. The contacts and information you add remain yours.

9. Limitation of Liability

Bethany is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not responsible for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed connections, embarrassing auto-suggestions, or any relationship drama that may ensue.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time by texting "DELETE ACCOUNT" to Bethany.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We'll let you know about significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
